Arkad-ABB S.p.A. has announced the appointment of Mr. Fares Khatib as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. He succeeds David Gowans who will take up a new position within Arkad Group.
Mr. Fares Khatib joins Arkad-ABB from DSI group where he was the CEO of DSI Oil&Gas and Passavant Energy & Environment (Water) business units since 2010. Mr. Khatib has over 28 years of experience in the Oil & Gas business and brings valuable expertise in the management of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) mega-projects.
Mr Khatib, 54 years old, is a Canedian citizen, he holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, and has completed Construction Management, Construction Law and Construction Economics programs at the University of Bath, UK.
