Milan (Italy), 23 July 2026 — Arkad SpA announces that it is among the beneficiaries of a US$200 million financing facility arranged by African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in favour of Shoreline Power Company Limited and its co-borrowers. This achievement reinforces Arkad SpA’s capacity to support the execution of large-scale EPC projects, strengthening its position as a trusted partner in the development of energy and infrastructure initiatives across the African continent.

The facility enhances Arkad’s ability to issue performance guarantees, secure advance-payment guarantees and strengthen working capital throughout the execution of complex EPC contracts.

This financing represents an important milestone in Arkad’s long-term growth strategy, reinforcing its ability to execute large-scale industrial and energy infrastructure projects while expanding its presence across African markets.

Hassi Bir Rekaiz Phase 2a

Arkad holds 44 per cent of the approximately US$1 billion EPCCS-1 contract awarded by Groupement Hassi Bir Rekaiz (GHBR) to an unincorporated consortium led by Egypt’s Petrojet, which holds 56 per cent. EPCCS-1 covers engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up for the Phase 2a central processing facility and related infrastructure at the Hassi Bir Rekaiz field in Algeria’s Berkine Basin.

GHBR is the joint operating entity for the licence, held by Sonatrach with 51 per cent and Thailand’s PTTEP with 49 per cent. The project includes a new crude oil processing facility with capacity of 31,500 barrels per day, facilities for associated gas and produced-water treatment, approximately 217 kilometres of pipelines and the brownfield modifications required to integrate existing Phase 1 infrastructure. The facilities are designed to support later expansion to 63,000 barrels per day under Phase 2b.

Milan (Italy), 06 May 2026 — Arkad SpA announces the contract signature of the Phase 2 Development Project of the Hassi Bir Rekaiz Field in Algeria by the Groupement HBR, the joint venture between Sonatrach and PTTEP.

This award confirms Arkad SpA’s long-standing presence and continued growth in a country which belongs to our legacy. Over the past five decades, Arkad SpA has successfully contributed to more than 30 projects in Algeria, strengthening its technical expertise and consolidating its reputation as a reliable EPC partner.

The project involves the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) for the treatment of crude oil and associated gas, together with off-plot pipelines and all related utilities and infrastructure. The project will be executed through a Consortium led by Petrojet, a trusted and qualified partner with extensive experience in the execution of large-scale energy projects and strong local operational capabilities.

This milestone marks another significant step in Arkad’s journey, contributing to Algeria’s energy growth through innovation, safety culture, and engineering excellence.

The closed-loop process produces sellable fertilizers that can reduce up to 50 percent the operating cost compared to other technologies.

Milan (Italy), 07 November 2022 – The World Quality Week is celebrated every year around the world in November to promote worldwide awareness of the important contribution that quality makes towards both individual and organizational growth and prosperity. The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) used to celebrate World Quality Day on the second Thursday in November. However, since last year CQI is celebrating the World Quality Week which, for this year, it is set from 7 to 11 November 2022. This year the theme is “Quality conscience: Doing the right thing”. “Doing the right thing” gets to the heart of quality management in any organization. Quality Assurance gives support in avoiding errors and mistakes, getting it right the first time and increasing values for Customers and Stakeholders.

How can everyone contribute to improve work processes and transform ways of working mitigating the risks of getting things wrong? In Arkad S.p.A. we have defined a process to capture LESSON LEARNED.

Lessons learned are documented knowledge gained from previous projects. The purpose of documenting and applying the lessons learned is to encourage improvement in best practices for future projects. Lessons Learned help in: avoiding repeating mistakes, using best practices, taking advantage of opportunities and improving project quality Lessons Learned are collected throughout the project life cycle and contain all events, both positive and negative. The goal is to reuse the best practices and avoid the same mistakes in future processes and projects.

Everyone’s contribution is important to focus on improvement actions taking into consideration that the concept of the “supplier” and the “customer” shall be expanded to include internal suppliers and customers, that is those who undertake a process and those who are on the receiving end of a process. Many of us are both Supplier and Customer that’s why “Doing the right thing” is of utmost importance to improve process performance.

Milan (Italy), 07 September 2022 – Arkad S.p.A. has signed a contract with Circular Fuels Ltd. (CFL), a joint venture between Dimeta B.V. and KEW Technology Ltd., for the realization of an innovative rDME (renewable and recycled carbon dimethyl ether) production plant. CFL’s first commercial rDME plant is being developed in Teesworks, UK, with plans for subsequent plants to be located across Europe and North America.

The plant, for which Arkad S.p.A. will provide detailed and EPC works expertise, will have a production capacity of 50 kilotonnes of rDME per year, produced from non-recyclable municipal and commercial and industrial (C&I) wastes. rDME is a safe, clean-burning, and sustainable fuel. Chemically similar to propane and butane, rDME produced in the plant will have an average Greenhouse Gase (GHG) saving of at least 65% at the start-up of the plant, which will decrease over time as the electricity grid will decarbonise, and could become negative-carbon when the planned Carbon Capture & Sequestration (CCS) is realised in Teesside. Thanks to an innovative modular and advanced pressurised gasification, a design solution of KEW’s Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT), the joint venture CFL will then replicate the rDME plant in other locations becoming a sustainable solution for the global LPG industry. Detailed Engineering Design started in March 2022, and activities are under execution with the purpose to enable EPC works kick-off by Q4 2022.

Notably, the 50 kilotonnes per year plant – equivalent to 150 tonnes per day – will follow the rDME demonstration plant with a capacity of 5 tonnes per day, which is under development as an “add-on” at KEW’s existing operational ACT plant, currently producing waste-to-syngas, in the UK. This will prove the feasibility of converting biomass and non-recyclable feedstocks into rDME and it is expected to produce first waste-to-rDME molecules at the end of 2022. Scaling up from 5 tonnes to 150 tonnes per day is a de-risked scale-up pathway thanks to KEW’s modular design solution. The rDME will be wholesaled by Dimeta to the UK LPG Industry, who have set an ambitious target to be 100% renewable by 2040. The rDME available will accelerate the decarbonisation of off-grid energy.
